Woodbury Estate

We are growers of bare root Beech hedging, some root balled conifers & broadleaves. Potted Ornamental trees, fruit trees and Shrubs. Field grown specimen trees eg. Copper Beech, Hornbeam, hardy Acers.   The potted stock area is expanding and we don`t plan on retiring yet.

Potted Stock
We stock hardy Acers, flowering thorns, Hollies, Cotoneasters, many varieties of Rowans, Himalayan Birches, Crab apples, flowering & Japanese cherries and many more! Plus some large specimen conifers and a range of fruit trees. We are currently expanding this side of the business.

 

Bare root season 2020/21
Bare root Beech hedging and a few other species will be available from November 2020. The annual price list for bare root and potted stock will be issued in September. Please e mail Chris if you would like a copy sent out.

 

Opening Hours
Mon -Fri  9am 'till 5pm,  Sat 9am till 12 noon.  Some afternoons may be available  (Strictly by Appointment)  Closed Sunday.

 

About Us
Business established 1993. John has over 40 years experience in the forestry & ornamental nursery trade. We have developed 150 Acres of native broadleaf woodlands and planted 2 hedges on our property, so plenty of practical experience!

Forestry Owners, Estates, Farmers Planting for Ecological Schemes and Private Individuals requiring trees and shrubs for renovating gardens and creating arboretums.

Bare root list for 2020/21 season available now by e mail. Stock limited so early ordering advisable. Lifting starts November.

Open for visits to potted stock strictly by appointment. If you e mail your postal address to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  or ring the office, we will send you an updated potted stock list. We insist that customers receive a price list first, before arranging visit. Guidelines for arranging visits on pricelists. Single or couple from one household at a time and no overlap in appointments. More time for viewing and no queuing! There are no plans for `open to public` sales at this time, appointments only. 

Grow Your Own?  Apple, plum, damson & quince trees, &  maybe some blueberries & walnuts available.

Recycling plastic pots - We will gladly take back clean, undamaged black plastic pots and tree tubs size 4 litre and above and reuse them  Please either bring to an open weekend or contact Chris to arrange an appointment to drop them off.
